Where these numbers come from

The 7 products ranked here carry 5,307 reviews at Target. We read the newest reviews of each product (up to a thousand per listing), kept the ones that talk about putting it on, and counted up to 40 per product, posted between Nov 2018 and Sep 2026.

A review counts only when the reviewer used the product themselves. We drop reviews written in exchange for a free product or a sweepstakes entry (1 on this page), and products that are no longer sold.

Target also shows reviews first posted on brands' own websites. We show them on product cards but never count them, because brand-site reviews run more positive than store reviews of the same products.

Because we searched for the problem, people who had it are overrepresented. Compare products with each other rather than reading a share as your own odds.

We count what parents report. Nothing here is medical or safety advice: for a sick baby, call your pediatrician, and for car seats, a certified child passenger safety technician can check the install.

Amazon buttons appear only on products that most parents here say fix the problem (at least 60%, with enough reviews to trust it). Everything else gets no buy link.

An AI model labels each review against a fixed list of points, and we spot-check the labels before publishing. We publish counts, never the reviews themselves.

Questions buyers ask

Which baby carrier is easy to put on?

BabyBjörn Baby Carrier Mini has the best record (32 of 32), followed by Baby K'tan Pre-Wrapped Carrier (26 of 29) and Ergobaby Embrace Newborn Carrier (26 of 29). No parent called the BabyBjörn hard to put on, and 32 parents gave an outcome.

Is the Moby wrap hard to put on?

Parents mostly said yes. 16 of 22 who gave an outcome called it hard to put on, and 40% of all its reviews raise it. The Baby K'tan, which is sold pre-wrapped, did far better at 26 of 29.

Can I put a baby carrier on by myself?

Some parents say so. 14% of BabyBjörn Baby Carrier Mini reviews and 10% of Ergobaby Embrace Newborn Carrier reviews mention putting it on alone. Many reviews don't say either way, so check the maker's instructions for the steps.

How do I make sure a carrier fits right?

Follow the manual for fit, carry positions and the weight range, and ask the maker or a babywearing educator when you're unsure. Parents here judged how easy the carrier was to put on, not how it fits any particular baby, so the manual comes first.
