Where these numbers come from

The 7 products ranked here carry 18,059 reviews at Target. We read the newest reviews of each product (up to a thousand per listing), kept the ones that talk about spit-up, and counted up to 40 per product, posted between Aug 2018 and Oct 2026.

A review counts only when the reviewer used the product themselves. We drop reviews written in exchange for a free product or a sweepstakes entry (0 on this page), and products that are no longer sold.

Target also shows reviews first posted on brands' own websites. We show them on product cards but never count them, because brand-site reviews run more positive than store reviews of the same products.

Because we searched for the problem, people who had it are overrepresented. Compare products with each other rather than reading a share as your own odds.

We count what parents report. Nothing here is medical or safety advice: for a sick baby, call your pediatrician, and for car seats, a certified child passenger safety technician can check the install.

Amazon buttons appear only on products that most parents here say fix the problem (at least 60%, with enough reviews to trust it). Everything else gets no buy link.

An AI model labels each review against a fixed list of points, and we spot-check the labels before publishing. We publish counts, never the reviews themselves.

Questions buyers ask

Which formula do parents say eased spit-up?

Enfamil A.R. has the best record (22 of 23), followed by Similac Pro-Total Comfort (21 of 26) and Similac 360 Total Care Sensitive (12 of 14). The letters A.R. are part of the product's name, not proof it will work for your baby. These are parent reports, and every baby is different.

Is Kendamil good for spit-up?

Parents are mixed. Kendamil Organic Formula comes out ahead of the other two at 26 of 35, then Kendamil Goat Formula at 20 of 29 and Kendamil Classic Formula at 18 of 30. Across the three, 25%, 22% and 30% of reviews say spit-up stayed the same or got worse.

When should I call the pediatrician about spit-up?

Talk to your pediatrician before switching formulas. Call right away if spit-up is forceful, green or bloody, or if your baby isn't gaining weight. Babies differ, so a formula that helped another baby may not help yours.

How should I mix formula?

Exactly as the label says, with the scoop from the can and the amount of water listed. Don't add extra powder, extra water or anything else to the bottle unless your pediatrician tells you to.
