Where these numbers come from

The 7 products ranked here carry 79,266 reviews at Target. We read the newest reviews of each product (up to a thousand per listing), kept the ones that talk about softness, and counted up to 40 per product, posted between Feb 2023 and Oct 2026.

A review counts only when the reviewer used the product themselves. We drop reviews written in exchange for a free product or a sweepstakes entry (16 on this page), and products that are no longer sold.

Target also shows reviews first posted on brands' own websites. We show them on product cards but never count them, because brand-site reviews run more positive than store reviews of the same products.

Because we searched for the problem, people who had it are overrepresented. Compare products with each other rather than reading a share as your own odds.

We count what parents report. Nothing here is medical or safety advice: for a sick baby, call your pediatrician, and for car seats, a certified child passenger safety technician can check the install.

Amazon buttons appear only on products that most parents here say fix the problem (at least 60%, with enough reviews to trust it). Everything else gets no buy link.

An AI model labels each review against a fixed list of points, and we spot-check the labels before publishing. We publish counts, never the reviews themselves.

Questions buyers ask

Which diapers feel soft?

Millie Moon Luxury Diapers have the best record (25 of 27), followed by Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers (28 of 32) and Pampers Pure Protection Diapers (26 of 32). The leader rests on 27 parents, while Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers have the bigger group at 32.

Are Huggies diapers soft?

It depends on the line. Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers come in at 28 of 32, Huggies Skin Essentials Diapers at 20 of 24 and Huggies Little Movers Diapers at 12 of 25.

Are Pampers diapers soft?

Pampers Pure Protection Diapers have the stronger record at 26 of 32, against 8 of 12 for Pampers Baby Dry Diapers. The Baby Dry group is small at 12 parents, so treat that record as a rough guide.

Should I pick a diaper for softness alone?

Softness is one thing parents notice, and fit, leaks and price matter too. Our records count whether the diaper felt soft or rough and say nothing about skin. If your baby has a rash that doesn't go away, ask your pediatrician.
